The Ear to the Ground Fund provides support for the reporting and production staff of SoundVision to explore and develop new ideas and projects for public radio broadcast and new media.
The heart of SoundVision’s mission is to uncover important and relevant stories and find the most creative ways to tell them. Those in the business of journalism—reporters, editors, and producers—are often on the lookout for one-of-a-kind stories, but deadlines and funding constraints can prohibit innovative ideas from ever being developed.
The Ear to the Ground Fund, a pipeline for innovation, supports new initiatives such as experiments with technology, researching powerful ideas, or exploiting an unexpected opportunity to write and submit a proposal.
